Pinch, 2013

Sculpture

Paper

It was made for a typography contest in my first design class in grad school. Numbers of competitors: 12. Each of us had to think of one word and express this word using whatever forms of design. Mine was "Pinch", so I used color papers and pinched them into the shape of this word. My "Pinch" stood out from other two digital design "Electronic" and "Acute" and won the 1st place and 2 packs of Snickers.

Smart Clock, 2014

Gadget

Arduino, Paper, Plastic

The alarm app in my phone always failed to wake me up. I find myself fully awake sometimes only after picking up a phone call or opening a knocking door that forces me to think. So I made a physical clock that only turns off if I answer all math problems correctly.
